Crowning of 2012 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Champions Sets Stage for Exciting, Second Half of Race Season at Concord Speedway
CONCORD, N.C. (July 23, 2012) – The anticipation building for the crowning of the 2012 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series champions this Saturday night, July 28, at Town and Country Ford Night at the Races, will set the stage for the exciting events to come in the second half of race season at Concord Speedway.
The UARA Series will storm into action on Saturday, August 4, for the City Chevrolet 150. A series that can boast raising the next biggest stars in racing, such as Austin and Ty Dillon, Corey LaJoie and Steve Wallace, makes UARA Series racing action some you don’t want to miss! There will be a driver autograph session and pit party at 6:30 p.m., prior to the 7:30 p.m. scheduled green flag.
Adult tickets will be 15 dollars, students (13-17) are only 10 dollars, a family four-pack is 25 dollars and kids 12 and under are free! Concord Speedway is also eager to welcome back all of our Quarter-Mile competitors from what we hope was a successful and fun Summer Shootout Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Friday evening, August 24. RPM Pro-Formance Legend Car and Bandolero racing will return stronger than ever with six divisions of points battles yet to be decided!

The Brooks Davis Memorial Scale Racing League or Davis SRL Series, previously known as the Arena Racing Outdoors Series will be back racing on our Quarter-Mile track as well. The series will race under the Davis SRL Series banner to honor one of the series’ ambassadors, Brooks Davis. Davis passed away at the end of June and his passion and enthusiasm for the sport will be greatly missed by competitors and speedway staff.
To kick off our Fall season of racing, the Pebble Pushers Custom Truck and Car Club will unite at Concord Speedway for their 15th Scr8pFest Car and Truck Show on September 28, 29 and 30. Rounding out the 2012 Concord Speedway season will be the Pro All Stars Series’ (PASS) famed Thanksgiving Classic Mason Dixon Meltdown 200 on Saturday, November 24. The PASS Super Late Model Touring Series always provides door-to-door battles between some of the best and most competitive Super Late Model drivers around!
