Triple-Header Weekend Caps off 2012 Season at Concord Speedway’s Quarter-Mile Track

CONCORD, N.C. (October 3, 2012) – Concord Speedway is looking forward to capping off their 2012 season at the Quarter-Mile track with a grand finale, triple-header weekend planned for October 5, 6 and 7.

Because this weekend is a three-day, unique show, there are several changes to the regular event schedule that most of our weekly competitors are used to. Hopefully the following information will help alleviate any confusion over this weekend’s events.

On Friday, October 5, we will run a normal show of RPM Pro-Formance Legend Cars and Bandoleros. This event will have a regular event schedule with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. Competitors and fans can view a detailed event schedule here: http://concordspeedway.net/event-schedule-quarter-mile/.

Also, on October 5, there will be an open session for all Legends divisions from 2-5 p.m. The cost will be 50 dollars per car. However, competitors and crew members will not be required to purchase a pit pass at the test session.

On Saturday, October 6, we will run a special, double points night for our RPM Pro-Formance Legend Cars and Bandoleros. Gates will open at 4:30 p.m. for this event, which will in turn move practice, qualifying and feature racing up one hour. Competitors and fans can view a detailed event schedule here: http://concordspeedway.net/event-schedule-quarter-mile/.

Also, on October 6, there will be an open session for all Bandolero divisions from 1-4 p.m. The cost will be 50 dollars per car. However, competitors and crew members will not be required to purchase a pit pass at the test session.

On Sunday, October 7, we will run our regular show of RPM Pro-Formance Legend Cars and Bandoleros, with the addition of one, combined class of Street Stocks and Sportsman division cars. The Street Stocks/Sportsman division cars will qualify and run a 40-Lap feature event. Payout for this class will be 100 percent of the drivers’ pit pass money paid back to the top-three finishers. On Sunday, gates will open at 1:00 p.m. Competitor and fans can view a detailed event schedule here:http://concordspeedway.net/event-schedule-quarter-mile/.
